Amirtha Ravindranath, a trailblazing educator and entrepreneur, exemplifies the power of passion and perseverance. Armed with an MA, MPhil in English Literature, and a PG Diploma in Media and Journalism, she began her career as a lecturer in a reputed Bangalore college. For over two decades, she honed her skills in teaching and coordination, eventually serving as a professor in Journalism and Mass Media before taking voluntary retirement in 2012.
Her journey into entrepreneurship began at 46 when she decided to turn her lifelong dream into reality by founding Kiddos Paradise Pre-School Vijayanagar in 2013. Starting with a modest investment of ₹20 lakhs, the school has since flourished, boasting a current turnover of ₹40 lakhs.
Guided by the philosophies of Maria Montessori, Amirtha combined the Montessori and Playway methods to create an innovative curriculum for children aged 1 to 6 years. The school prides itself on its strong team of experienced educators, many of whom have been part of the institution since its inception. This dedicated team and Amirtha’s unique approach to parent counseling during admissions are the institution’s defining features.
Amirtha’s inspiration stems from her belief in building a strong foundation for children and nurturing their potential to become confident future citizens. Her family has been an unwavering pillar of support, with her daughter, a Food Scientist from the USA, helping design the school’s nutrition plans, and her son-in-law, an IT expert, offering valuable insights into operations.
Recognized for her efforts, Amirtha was honored with the Blindwink India Excellence Award in 2024 for Bangalore’s Best Premier Fun Learning Pre-School with an Innovative Approach. Looking ahead, she envisions expanding Kiddos Paradise with a second branch and offering franchise opportunities to aspiring educators.
