India’s logistics industry forms the backbone of the nation’s economy, yet for decades it has remained fragmented, inefficient, and heavily dependent on informal networks. Small fleet owners, who make up nearly 80 percent of the trucking ecosystem, have traditionally operated with limited access to information, technology, and structured support. Sarthak Elwadhi, Founder of TrucksUp, recognised this imbalance early and set out to build a platform that empowers truck owners with intelligence, visibility, and control over their operations.
Growing up around logistics, Sarthak was exposed to both Indian and international trucking ecosystems from a young age. This dual exposure shaped his understanding of how structured information systems could dramatically improve efficiency and profitability. While India had the scale, it lacked the technological backbone to support its truckers. During his college years, this observation evolved into a clear entrepreneurial idea—technology could bridge the massive information gap crippling small fleet owners.
Sarthak began working on TrucksUp when he was just 21–22 years old, long before execution formally began in 2022. His approach was deeply ground-driven. Rather than relying solely on market reports or assumptions, he spent time on highways, dhabas, and loading points, speaking directly with truck owners and drivers. What emerged was a recurring insight—the problem was not the lack of trucks or freight, but the lack of timely, reliable information.

TrucksUp was designed as a one-stop digital ecosystem tailored specifically for single-truck owners and small fleet operators. The platform brings together load discovery, fuel cards, FASTag, GPS tracking, insurance, finance, SIM-based tracking, and even truck buying and selling under one unified interface. By centralising these fragmented services, TrucksUp enables truckers to make informed decisions, reduce idle time, and improve asset utilisation.
Today, TrucksUp stands as one of India’s fastest-scaling trucking platforms, with over 4 lakh downloads, 45,000+ monthly active users, and 21+ value-added service partners. The platform directly impacts logistics efficiency by reducing empty miles, lowering operating costs, and improving income predictability for fleet owners. In doing so, it strengthens the very foundation of India’s supply chain.

Entrepreneurship, however, came with significant challenges. Building something entirely new in a traditionally resistant industry required unwavering belief. The early phase demanded near-blind devotion to the idea, especially when resources were limited and outcomes uncertain. One of the most complex challenges Sarthak faced was building the right team. Because TrucksUp operates at the intersection of technology and ground logistics, hiring individuals with relevant experience was difficult. Most team members required extensive training before they could meaningfully contribute.
These challenges shaped Sarthak’s leadership philosophy. He learned that consistency matters more than talent, trust matters more than marketing, and listening to users is the most powerful form of innovation. His ability to combine ground-level hustle with strategic clarity became his defining strength—working with truckers in the morning and engaging corporate boardrooms by evening.
Inspiration for Sarthak comes from his father and uncle, whose integrity, leadership, and persistence influenced his entrepreneurial mindset. Their example reinforced the belief that businesses built with honesty and purpose endure longer than those driven purely by scale.
Looking ahead, TrucksUp aims to become India’s default FTL loadboard and the largest value-added service provider in the trucking space. The next phase includes expansion into driver placement, roadside assistance, GNSS FASTag solutions, and full truck lifecycle management. The goal is clear—to simplify trucking operations end to end while uplifting the small fleet owners who power India’s economy.
Recognition through awards such as the International Icons of Excellence Award 2023, Best Brand 2024, and Logistics Shakti 2024 reflects TrucksUp’s growing impact. For Sarthak Elwadhi, however, real success lies in solving real problems at scale—quietly, consistently, and with purpose.
